About Us
This blog is the creation of Joe Chen and Steven Chou. Back in the summer of 2008, someone dubbed us “the guys upstairs” because they couldn’t remember our names. A few weeks later, one of our friends started a sports blog and we thought that we could also start a blog. Over the next few weeks we tossed around some ideas but did not get off the ground until Joe took the plunge and secured the web hosting. It took a few days before the technology section was set up. After a few posts and some tweaking of the site, we had a total of 3 sections:
- Technology - tech.guysupstairs.com
- Asian Culture - asia.guysupstairs.com
- Politics - politics.guysupstairs.com
The site died down sometime around the end of 2008, but we are hoping to relaunch the site with some tweaks in content. The first section will be the random ramblings of a good friend of mine, Kyo Yuy.

Also, Steven has expressed interest in potentially having his own section of the blog so we can all keep in touch with what everyone is doing after we graduate. Sounds like an excellent idea. Also, I’m thinking about a redesign of the site, both cosmetically and in how it’s organized. More details to come.
